Malawi Congress Party (MCP) members from the Southern Region are calling for another convention within seven days where “real” MCP members will contest for various positions.
Addressing the press at Grace Bandawe Conference Centre in Blantyre, the group claiming to be chairpersons from all districts in the South, says MCP has been captured by People’s Party (PP) members.
The group says the convention held in Lilongwe was unconstitutional because it was not called by the party’s Secretary General, Gustave Kaliwo.
