First Capital Bank has donated K50 million to the Ministry of Health to help in the fight against Covid-19.
The donation came barely hours after National Bank of Malawi (NBM) also donated assorted medical supplies worth MK60 millin toward the fight against the deadly virus.
The bank on Tuesday afternoon presented a dummy cheque to Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, and Information Minister Gospel Kazako, who are also members of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19.
The country is experiencing the second wave of COVID-19 which has claimed over 400 people including cabinet Ministers.
Meanwhile President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has declared the country a state of disaster.
