Florida Family Accused of Selling Dangerous Bleach as Covid-19 Cure

A Florida man and his three sons have been indicted for allegedly selling a dangerous chemical mix called “Miracle Mineral Solution” (MMS) as a cure for Covid-19 and dozens of other serious health conditions.

62-year-old Mark Grenon and his three adult sons, Jonathan, Jordan and Joseph stand accused of marketing and selling tens of thousands of bottles of MMS all over the United States, claiming that it could treat, prevent and cure Covid-19, as well as other diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, HIV/Aids, malaria, and even autism. Prosecutors dispute those claims, saying that Miracle Mineral Solution is actually a solution that, when ingested, becomes “chlorine dioxide, a powerful bleach typically used for industrial water treatment or bleaching textiles, pulp, and paper”.

According to Justice.gov, the indictment also alleges that the Grenons operated under the guise of Genesis II Church of Health and Healing, a legal entity that had nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with avoiding Government regulation of medicine as well as shielding its founders from prosecution.

The Genesis II website describes the entity as a non-religious church, and Mark Grenon himself has repeatedly stated that the it “has nothing to do with religion,” and that he founded Genesis to “legalize the use of MMS” and avoid “going [ ] to jail”.

Interestingly, Grenon may be at least partially responsible for former President Donald Trump’s crazy statements regarding the use of bleach to treat Covid-19. The Guardian reports that, in April of last year, the Florida “entrepreneur” wrote to Trump, promoting his industrial bleach as “a wonderful detox that can kill 99% of the pathogens in the body”.

The FDA has not approved Miracle Mineral Solution as a cure for Covid-19 or any other use for that matter. On the contrary, it has warned that drinking the concoction is the same as drinking bleach and can leas to severe problems, “including severe vomiting, diarrhea and life-threatening low blood pressure”.

To avoid legal responsibility, the Grenons allegedly sold MMS through the Genesis II Church. Technically, customers were required to make a donation to the church, only the donation was mandatory and it was set at a specific dollar amount. The family reportedly sold more than $1 million worth of Miracle Mineral Solution.

According to statements made in court by federal prosecutors in Miami, a search of Jonathan Grenon’s house, the family was manufacturing MMS in a shed in Bradenton, Florida. Officers confiscated dozens of blue chemical drums containing almost 10,000 pounds of sodium chlorite powder, and other materials used in the production and distribution of MMS.

A simple Google search for “Mark Grenon” reveals that concerns about his Miracle Mineral Solution date back several years, with several investigations concluding that his product was very similar to bleach. But for some reason, no one has been able to stop the operation; not only that but an offshoot of the Genesis II church had apparently started selling MMS in Australia as well.

Mark and Joseph Grenon are reportedly in Colombia, while Jonathan and Jordan are already in US custody.
