Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that all fuel pumping station in the North has run out of fuel, especially petrol.
It is reported that the fuel scarcity started to be observed on Wednesday. As of Thursday morning, most filling stations were empty and the few that had the commodity had long queues of vehicles, motocycles and jerrycans.
This situation is fast spread to Central region especially Lilongwe.
Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) is yet to comment on the matter.
