This price hikes is also affecting the sex workers in Ghana who are basically foreigners from the neighboring Nigeria, Liberia, Togo and Ivory coast as they complained bitterly of the high cost of goods and services including rent.

As a result, they have decided to increase their charges in order to meet there daily demands.

A report from the Joy news presenter indicate that, the Ashawo community have come out with a new price list which is up to a 100% increment. They said that, they used to charge 50 Ghana cedis for a short time which lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes and charges 300 Ghana cedis for full night.

With the new price, they will be charging 100 Ghana cedis for short time and 600 Ghana cedis for full night. They also complained that, their clients are still not cooperating with them on the new price and they still want to pay the old price.

They are appealing to the government to come to their aid by decreasing the prices of fuel to enable the prices of goods and services to decease.
