Female mobile money agent abducted by her employer in Zambia

A 17-year-old female mobile money agent, of Kamitondo township in Kitwe, has been abducted by known people, for allegedly owing her previous employer.

Agnes Tindwa was abducted by her previous employer, who is demanding 20,000 Kwacha for her release.

Agness, on December 8, 2022, left home at around 08:30 hours, saying she was going for work but she never returned.

Loveness Mwamba, the mother of the abducted woman, says on December 12, 2022, at around 06 hours the family received a phone call and the caller said Ms Tindwa was in his custody before demanding for money.

Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer, Peacewell Mweemba has explained that Agnes was allowed to speak to the mother, stating that she was being kept at an unknown place, but in Solwezi , North-Western Province.

A docket of abduction has been opened but no arrest have made yet.
