Archbishop Desmond Tambala appoints Reverend Vincent Mwakhwawa as new Vicar General

Archbishop George Desmond Tambala has appointed Reverend Father Vincent Mwakhwawa has new Vicar General of the Lilongwe Archdiocese.

Reverend Father Mwakhwawa replaces Monsignor Patrick Thawale who was appointed to the post by late Archbishop Tarcisius Gervazio Ziyaye who died on December 14, 2022.

Archbishop Tambala has appointed Reverend Thawale as new Director of Social Development and Industries.

According to a letter seen by this publication, the appointments are with effect from January 2, 2022.
