Epileptic Man Dies After Drowning in Bua River While Fishing

A-35-year old epileptic man, Paul Frazer has died in Mponela, Dowa after drowning in Bua River.

Mponela Police spokesperson, Macpatson Msadala said Frazer and his friend went fishing in the river.

“While fishing, Frazer was immediately seized by his condition and fell in the water. His friend called for help and people started searching for him but to no avail,” says Msadala.

Frazer’s body was later found by fishermen at a distance of 800 metres from where he fell.

A postmortem at Chizoloondo Health Center showed that the death was due to suffocation.

Frazer hailed from Kanjeza village in the area of Senior Chief Chakhaza in Dowa district.
