Police in Machinga have this morning summoned Prophet David Mbewe of Living Word Evangelical Church (LIWEC).
Reasons for the summon are not clear yet though some unconfirmed reports indicate it is connected to Mbewe’s strong opposition to the announced gathering restrictions.
A communication to Prophet Mbewe from Liwonde Police Post Officer in charge Charles Nsitu, that Rainbow has seen, simply says the parties would have a closed door meeting.
Machinga Police Publicist, Ngwashape Nsume has feigned ignorance on the matter and has asked for time to consult first.
